Programs and Services - First Steps

Intake
The first step for accessing most services at LDAY is an intake meeting. LDAY staff will meet with you to discuss your concerns and to see which of our services may be a good fit for you or your child.
The intake meeting may help to clarify if an individual is at risk for a learning disability or if there is some other barrier to learning that is not related to a learning disability.
LDAY may open a file that will enable us to track the type and duration of the service we provide.

Academic Tutoring
LDAY offers one-on-one tutoring that matches the needs of a student with the skills and personality of a qualified tutor. Our tutors have training and resources to meet a variety of learning needs. Tutoring is available for adults, children and youth. The cost ranges from $20 to $35 per hour, and assistance is available to help ensure that finances are not a barrier to accessing tutoring.
Assessments
LDAY can make referrals to qualified, independent psychologists who have experience with learning disabilities. These psychologists can conduct psychological educational assessments to determine the presence of a learning disability and offer recommendations, strategies and accommodations to address it. There is a fee for this service which can range from $1500 - $2500.
Assistive Technology
