A Peer Support group for people living with brain injury. Despite the name, the group is open to people with brain injuries of any kind. Running weekly through the Fall and Winter, this is a place to explore our experience of brain injury as it is in the present moment while sharing resources and tools with each other. We do so with a focus on mindfulness, somatic awareness, mindset and supporting the nervous system always starting right where we are.
The unspoken benefits of coming together as a group are that we get to practice the small and sometimes challenging skills of being in a group together (timing, attunement, listening, processing, discerning what to say and when, etc). The benefits of coming together in community and connecting with others who share in parts of our experience of brain injury are unparalleled.
The group is led by Lis Pilon through a Peer Support lens. See our social media or sign up for our newsletter to learn more about upcoming groups.

Individualized support is available with Lis on a 1:1 basis.
Whether it be:
focusing on a return to work or school
finding meaning during recovery
exploring executive functioning challenges and strategies
pursuing a project to get back to what you love
learning about supporting your nervous system to promote healing
simply talking with someone who has had their own experience of brain injury as a companion
Private sessions are available to support you through your experience with brain injury. Groups aren’t for everyone and can be overwhelming at times; individual support is here in addition to attending Concussion Café Yukon or on it’s own.
Please contact Lis to book a session!

Pique Your Brain presentations bring people living with brain injury together with practitioners to learn about different modalities and approaches to healing, treatment, and available supports. These presentations happen periodically and are intended to open up pathways to further support and empowerment through education.

The Yukon Brain Injury Network (YBIN) is a database of professionals supporting people with brain injuries in Yukon. We have periodic connections for professionals to learn about each other, exchange ideas, learn from each other, and potentially improve care.
With a central hub, people with brain injuries can learn more about practitioners to access care more easily.
Are you a professional who wants to be a part of our network? Join here.
COMING SOON - View the network database here to learn about practitioners available to you or to connect with others.
